What is this club about?

The Charities for Kids club is dedicated to helping underprivileged children around the bay area and around the world. Throughout the school year, our club will hold a minimum of one event per month to raise money to donate to an organization that helps kids in a certain aspect, whether that be academically, financially, or some kind of support. These events could either be fundraising or doing something that will eventually be donated to these children like card making for children in hospitals or a food/clothing drive. Some examples of some places we can outreach to is Kids Against Hunger, Tri Valley Haven for food donations, Saint Judes, Make a Wish, etc. Throughout the year too, we can also go in person to these places first hand to help out with whatever they need. We hope that our officer team and our members can coordinate together to come up with good projects every month to maximize the amount we are getting out of the event. Our meetings will consist on informing our members about these events so people can attend and help out, earning volunteer hours! Furthermore, our meetings can be talking about the organization we are going to donate to and why.

How do I join this club?

While most questions pertaining to club meetings and mission are best referred to the student officers, an adult contact may be preferable in some cases. Send an email to the teacher advisor. Their email address is below their name.
I want to escalate something. How do I contact the Club Council?
The Club Council is a central body governing the operations of all clubs on campus. They are not involved with the specifics of the club, as that responsibility is shared by the club officers. The Club Council assigns a Councilmember to oversee each club. You can contact the assigned Councilmember at [email protected].
